Life can throw unexpected challenges your way, and it’s important to know that you have someone to rely on when things get tough. At C&J Migrant Solutions Foundation, we understand the unique mental health needs of the Black migrant community, especially those who have experienced trauma and PTSD. Our compassionate and affirming behavioral health care team is here to offer help and hope when you need it most.

Our Therapy Services: We offer a range of therapy services to address the diverse needs of the Black migrant community:

1. Individual Therapy

Sometimes, life's challenges are hard to face alone. Our experienced therapists will work alongside you to address lingering challenges, inspire change, and help you improve your overall quality of life.

2. Family and Couples Therapy:

Coming to therapy as a family can be a beneficial tool for healing. We offer understanding, confidential talk therapy for couples and families who want to improve their communication and healthily resolve conflicts.

3. Group Therapy:

Expressing your challenges to others who are in a similar circumstance can be very healing. Our group therapy sessions, led by trained therapists, provide a safe, confidential, and supportive setting for sharing and growth.

4. Psychiatry:

For many people, medication is an integral part of mental health recovery. If you and your therapist decide that medication is needed, our psychiatrists are available for ongoing medication management services.

Getting Started with Therapy

To get started with therapy at C&J Migrant Solutions Foundation, we have a simple intake assessment process:

Intake Assessment

The first step is to complete an intake assessment. No appointment is required; you can simply show up during the designated times. Our assessments are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and can be attended virtually or in person. Please bring identification and insurance information (sliding scale options are also available).

Diagnostic Assessment:

After the intake assessment, you will be scheduled for a diagnostic assessment with an intake therapist. This assessment will help us understand your specific needs and preferences.

Therapist Matching

Following the diagnostic assessment, our care coordinators will match you with a therapist who best suits your needs. Wait times for a therapist are capped at two months. If we do not have a therapist available at that time, our care coordinators will provide you with referral options.

Please note that our intake assessments are specifically for those interested in starting therapy at C&J Migrant Solutions Foundation and are not intended for one-time evaluations for disability certifications, immigration reasons, or other purposes.

Specialized Support for Trauma and PTSD

We understand that therapy openings are currently limited, and we may not be able to match you with a therapist immediately. Most openings are available between the hours of 9 AM and 4 PM and are primarily conducted via telehealth. We strive to provide accessible and convenient therapy options for the Black migrant community.

At C&J Migrant Solutions Foundation, we are committed to providing culturally sensitive and trauma-informed therapy services to address the mental health needs of the Black migrant community. We believe that by working together, we can support healing, resilience, and overall well-being. Contact us today to take the first step towards a brighter future.
